FALL FESTIVAL–Thursday, October 11th 4:30-6:00 PM

Thursday our annual Fall Festival will be taking place! North Families, the festival provides an opportunity for the PTO to say THANK YOU! There will be pumpkin decorating, wagon rides, face painting, petting zoo, and food. This year the PTO will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers. Last names starting with A-H should bring chips, I-P fruit/vegetables, and Q-Z desserts. Drinks will not be provided. Parent/Teacher conference sign-up sheets will be out near the book fair. Classrooms will not be open this night.

The book fair will also be available during Fall Festival to purchase books.

Volunteers are needed. Please send in the volunteer sheet that will be sent home today or contact Noe Escamilla at Noescamilla27@gmail.com.

Enchanted Forest Book Fair

Monday through Friday the book fair will be open from 7:45 – 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Monday through Thursday the book fair will have additional times of 3:00-6:00 PM with Friday closing at 4:00 PM.

Book Fair Volunteers are needed for Friday morning, October 12th, from 7:30-8:45 am. Please contact the office at (815)899-8209 or send a note if you are able to help!

Apple Crunch

Thursday, October 11, at 2:30 PM, North will be celebrating Apple Crunch which is a statewide event. Each classroom will receive an apple from community donors. The building will have a countdown to “crunch” their apple at 2:30 PM. Be sure to ask your child about this event.

Kindergarten Breakfast Buddies – What is this? –  Thursday, October 11

Breakfast Buddies is an opportunity for your child to choose one adult that you would like to have breakfast with provided by the PTO. Muffins, donuts, and fruit are provided for the two of you! The Kindergarten breakfast buddies starts at 8:00 to 8:25 AM in the cafeteria. Please be sure to add this to your calendar!

Car Safety During Dismissal

For your child’s safety, please have your child enter the side closest to the sidewalk to avoid any vehicle/pedestrian accidents.

Sycamore Music Boosters—46th Annual Autumn Craft & Treasures Market

The 46th annual Autumn Craft & Treasures Market, hosted by the Sycamore Music Boosters and partnering with Heartland Bank, is part of the Sycamore Pumpkin Festival weekend October 27 & 28. This is a main fundraiser for the Music Boosters and will be held at the Sycamore High School Fieldhouse, Saturday, October 27 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, October 28 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There are close to 200 vendors featuring a wide variety of quality crafts, handmade wood products, specialty items such as wool products, candles, spices, candies, antiques, ceramics and much more. Craft & Treasures Market admission fees are: Adults $2.00; Senior Citizens $1.00; Students Kindergarten – 12th grade $1.00; children under 5 free. ARBOR Lunch Accounts

Lunch Menus can be viewed through the district website. Please click on the “For Parent tab”, go down to Food Services, on the right hand side is the elementary lunch menu. You will not be receiving paper copies. Please utilize the district website.

You are able to add money onto your child’s lunch account by sending in a check made out to Sycamore 427.

Please note that Sycamore School District has implemented a new auto-replenish feature. Use the Auto Replenish feature to deposit funds into the food service account when the balance you specify is reached.

Once the account balance falls below the designated threshold, your preferred method of payment will be charged the amount you have designated. Once enabled, Auto Replenish will continue until you or the District disables the feature (i.e. when school is not in session). You may disable this feature at any time.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Select or enter student information .
  2. Click AUTO REPLENISH.
  3. Toggle Disabled to Enabled and adjust the preferences.
  4. Click SAVE .

Your account is now set up for auto-replenish. Check your email for confirmation.
