Emergency Drill This Week

As part of our yearly planned drills, this week on Thursday, we will conduct our Intruder (ALICE) Drill for our school.  These drills are done in conjunction with our District Safety Team and the Sycamore Police Department.  At our scheduled time, we will conduct our drill in accordance with the training that we have given our students and staff.  All of our students have practiced this drill with their classroom teacher, along with reading the book "I’m Not Scared, I’m Prepared."

Fun Fair Information

The North School Fun Fair is this Friday night, April 29, from 5:30-7 PM.  Games will be from 5:30-6:45 PM, with the raffle immediately following.  Our PTO, area businesses and individuals have generously donated some amazing raffle items for the evening! Along with our wonderful classroom baskets, we will have lots of fun options to win!

New this year — our Scholastic Book Fair will be open during the event!

Important reminders: parking is on the sides of the building and on the playground blacktop. Since the majority of parking will be out the back, the main entrance/ticket booth will be at the back of the building near the playground.  The front door will also be open.  We thank you for not parking on the street, blocking our neighbor driveways or mailboxes, or using driveways as turnabouts.

We are still looking for donations for the Cake Walk Game and the Soda Pop Ring Toss Game. If you can donate a purchased baked good or a 2 liter of your favorite soda, lemonade or fruit punch, please bring it to the office by noon on Friday.

We thank you for your continued support and will see you Friday night!

Flower Fundraiser Pickup Times Announced

Great news! Our flower fundraiser products will be delivered to North School on Monday, May 2, 2022. Flower pickup times have been set for 2:30-5:30 PM.

Spartan Food Pantry Open This Week!

The Spartan Food Pantry is excited to welcome guests to shop every other week on Wednesdays. On Wednesday, April 27, patrons can collect food at the District Warehouse at 520 N. Maple Street, Sycamore. Pantry patrons are in-person shopping! The pantry hours are 4:30-6:00 PM. The Pantry is open to any family that has a student attending a Sycamore School. The pantry offers frozen foods, fresh produce, cereal, canned goods, snacks, treats, and much more. Sycamore School District families can come to the pantry every time it is open. Park in the lot next to the warehouse, come on in the front door, and a volunteer will guide you from there. Community members can now volunteer at the pantry! If you or your organization want to help out, please email spartanfoodpantry@syc427.org for more information.

The Final Say — A Word From Mr. Franks

In April, we have been learning all about responsibility. Students are learning the value of working hard, getting work done, and being dependable with their actions. We appreciate all you do to encourage your child to be responsible both here at school and at home.

Have a great week!

Take care, stay well, and shine bright!

Mr. Franks
